The final full day in Sydney! It rained most of this morning, so I ended up doing lots of fun trip stuff like budgeting, tour confirmations, and photo archiving (all of which I was way overdue on- so maybe it was good thing ☺).

The afternoon on the other hand was beautiful and produced today’s photo ☺. I didn’t do any major tourist things today other than walk all over the harbor- it truly is as stunning as every tourism book says. Today we even had the honor of hosting (so I’m told) the “largest cruise ship on earth.”

Side note: Who is the target market for the “largest boat” marketing? Are there people out there who see that and go: “Well I only want to take a cruise on the largest boat that ever existed, so I better do that one”? Or is it purely a pissing contest between Cruise lines? Feel free to weigh in in the comments…

Anyways- here is a photo of said cruise monstrosity:

All in all my three days in Sydney have been fantastic- the food, culture, and overall vibe here are awesome. I’ll definitely miss this city, but I’m looking forward to a few days in Cairns!

Before I go- here are the beer reviews for Sydney:

4 Pine Pale Ale: Uses some American Hops but is overall light on flavor. Not much to this beer.

Cricketers Arms Captain’s IPA: Said to be brewed in the traditional style of a IPA, the malt taste in this beer is quite strange. Fortunately the hop taste is fantastic- very fresh tasting with a good mix of sweet and bitter notes. Overall the good hops and odd malt cancel each other out- average beer, would not drink again.

Little Creatures Pale Ale: I really liked this beer. Very light ale- maybe 4%, but had a nice smooth and sweet hop taste to it. Goes down very easy- I could drink this all day.

Talk to you all tomorrow from Cairns,
